Our family (including two boys, 5 and 8) had a terrific time at Sychnant Pass House. Bre was very gracious and the food and setting were terrific, but what our boys remember and miss most are the dogs, especially Mollie and Maisie who led us on many wonderful hikes into the hills across the road. We stayed in Jennyanddots which... more
Our wedding was held at Sychnant Pass House on 28th Dec 2007 and it really was perfect thanks to Graham and Bre and their lovely staff. The rooms for our guests were excellent and they all commented on how clean they were with a homely feel too. The night before the wedding we had a fantastic meal with all our... more
Our stay in Sychnant Pass house in July 2007 was our 6th year in a row to stay in this fantastic house which does really feel like our second home. That's got a lot to do with the wonderful welcome we have got from Bre and Graham each year. The house is set in a beautiful location with a lovely garden and... more
We had read about this hotel in the Sunday Times and were looking to our stay here. Upon arrival and through the whole weekend the owners were nowhere to be seen, the room we had was small but OK, the bathroom though needed some serious redecorating and modernising. There was no shower in the bathroom so had to revert to... more
We had stayed at Sychnant Pass House 20 years ago with our 5yr old and 2 1/2 year old. We wondered if and how it had changed. All that was good was better and all that was so so is no more. We stayed in the same room as we did 20 yrs ago (McCavity). It was nice then but... more
Bank Hol Weekend in August. No welcome from owners as trumpeted. But Graham was there running the kitchen but too flustered to act as host from the look of things. It really is the only place in area to stay. Nice public rooms.Well thought out Pool and tiny but functional gym. Wonderful showers in mens changing room, which was just... more
We enjoyed our time at the Synchant Pass very much. The highlight being the pool and the hot tub outside. The pool changing room is out of this world, with heated slate floor , fab toiletries, millions of clean warm towels and great showers. Water is salted and warm and the pool has a shallow bit (large steps) for kids.... more
I was looking for a hotel that welcomed children rather than tolerated them and their web site said they did (welcomed) hence the booking. I have to say that the 'house' is nice enough, staff pleasent but the overall experience was nothing special. The highlight for my children was the huge DVD and video library. Rooms were clean and spacious... more
This hotel is the most fantastic place, a real homely and welcoming place. We came accross this hotel while out viewing hotel wedding venues last year it was the first and last place we viewed as we both fell in love with the place. Firstly Bre and Graham are very friendly and helpful. You not only get a wonderful venue... more
