This hotel was by no means bad, but did not warrant the expensive price tag and was a big letdown. We arrived at about 7pm and went straight up to the room. Considering we'd booked a superior, it seemed distinctly average compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The bathroom was a bit pokey and could do with a... more

We travel regularly to Belfast and have stayed here twice - the most recent visit was over New Year 07/08. The hotel is very funky in its design and is in a good location very close to the city centre. The rooms are relatively spacious and have classic Malmaison styling. There are three things we have noticed though. Firstly, the... more

I frequently travel around the UK and have stayed in all of the mainland MalMaison hotels. My only complaint with all of the hotels until now, was that the beds were only slightIy softer than granite. Of course I appreciate that a lot of people like a hard bed which is probably why they do this ,although there is a... more

For my wife's 'significant' birthday I booked a nights stay in the Goliath suite hoping it would be a unique and superb occassion. The Malmaison did not dissapoint. Check-in is to the left as you enter the hotel and although there are no signs it is pretty obvious as the computers and friendly staff are a give away! Check-in was... more

We stayed at the Malmaison Belfast for two nights and loved it. It's the first time I've actually wanted to eat at a hotel Restaurant and spend time in the bar! Managed to squeeze in to the full restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. Less than £70 for two, fabulous food (bad coffee though!) and good service. The hotel has... more

My husband and I spent a weekend in Belfast for my birthday and the Malmasion was perfect. We ate in the restuarant on the Friday which was outstanding, both service and food were of the highest standard. The sommelier was excellent and gave us some great wine options to match our food choice. The room was excellent, slightly noisy at... more

Stayed here whilst working in Belfast. Nice big rooms and bathroom with lots of nice touches. Staff very friendly and willing to help. The only downside is the breakfast which is quite small yet quite expensive. Would definately reccomend a stay here, only go somewhere else for breakfast more

We recently spent a weekend at Malmaison, Belfast and despite some poor reviews we all had a wonderful stay. The staff couldn't have been more friendly throughout all stages of our stay. The hotel has a great gothic appearence inside and the rooms (we were in a delux) were a decent size and had all we needed. Lunch in the... more

This is the third time we have stayed at Malmaison Belfast and I fail to understand some of the reviews below. Yes the hotel is dark but thats all part of the atmosphere. Walking into this hotel is like walking into a fluffy cushion! You come in off the street and onto the softest carpet and cosiest chairs. Its bliss.... more

This hotel is an example of the original 'boutique' hotel concept, and centrally situated in a large beautifully ornate-facaded old warehouse from the early Victorian era. Its all very dark inside...lots of purple and black decor which at first is a novelty but soon one develops a certain craving for daylight, of which there is not so much. The windows... more
