a wonderful b&b,a great pub ajoined to it and only 5 min stroll to the centre of town this place is perfect for a short break in derry.huge breakfasts are the order of the morning but other alternatives are on offer,the cheese omlett was particulary good.locals in the bar made us feel welcome,as did everyone we met in town.prices were... more

Lovely place to stay, large rooms, clean and great food. I can't say enough about the friendly people, especially in the local that goes with the hotel, they're chatty and can't do enough for you! Stayed at the Iona Inn, Spencer Road, Derry for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived the manager and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Must say the regulars to the inn were as well. Visited the Iona about three years ago but is probably one of the best places I've stayed in ever value wise worldwide. There wasn't a lot wrong with the Iona Inn, the staff were lovely, the food was great, and the room was huge for the money. The two main things to mention are to take ear plugs, we were on the front of the B&B and got a lot of road noise, my ear plugs meant I slept straight through not... more
