My daughter and I were vacationing and doing genealogical research; we used Saddler's House as home base for traveling the area. We were so welcomed, treated like friends and family, as were all the other guests during our stay. Owners and resident bulldog were friendly. Everything was clean and cozy. This part of Derry can get pretty loud, so I was very glad that the house is so well insulated that I heard none of the street ruckus. Saddler's house is a very cosy little B&B, in the centre of Derry city. It's so cosy that it doesn't actually feel like you're in the city at all, but its only a 5 minute walk to the walls. This location looked impressive on its website but when I phoned them re: availability before 11:30pm tonight the owner rather abruptly told me to get lost as it was 'very late and this is a family home'. Rudeness aside, the site gave no indication of suitable times to call. Needless to say I didn't phone back the next day. Shocking... more
