We looked forward to our 4 night stay while visiting our friends in Aberdeen. Arrived on a Sunday night to not such good news - a leek in the roof and no hot water in our room that night. This was overcome very well by the hotel - a key to another room to use the shower and a half... more

We came here in Dec. Rooms were a little cold but this made sitting in front of the log burning fire even nicer . The Ha Hoose (residents lounge) is so gorgeous. I can't even describe it, it has to be seen. Perfect if you’re looking for an oldie worldie Scottish hotel. We've booked our wedding here we fell in... more

My partner and i went to this hotel for 2 nights (celebration package) for a romantic secluded getaway. On arrival were greeted by extremely friendly staff who told us about the history of the hotel (very interesting), we were shown to our room which was a deluxe room on the ground floor - can definately recommend this one as gorgeous... more

It was very cold when I arrived at this old place so it was nice to get inside and check in and the lady on reception was most helpful. Typical old Scottish hotel but I was slightly concerned when she told me to leave my pass card in the slot in the room so that my heater would stay on... more

I've just returned from a wedding at the hotel which was really fantasic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food at the reception was really great, didn't taste mass catered at all, so I can only imagine the food in the restaurant is good too. The buffet breakfast was of a reasonable... more

We have just returned from a one night 'Celebration Break' at this hotel, for my husband's 40th birthday. Truffles, fresh flowers and champagne were all waiting for us in the room upon our arrival, and yet the package only cost us £179, including A La Carte dinner plus breakfast the following morning. For both business and leisure reasons, my husband... more

Stayed here for one weekend earlier in the summer as there was nothing available in Banchory. Hotel located about 30-40 minutes from Aberdeen/Aberdeen airport, on the Lower Deeside Road B9077. The hotel is about 500 yards off this road, set in its own grounds right by the River Dee, with the golf course the other side of the river. Contacted the... more

Beautiful rooms, lovely food and wonderful staff. We got married in the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had numerous compliments from guests who had travelled a distance to the hotel, some of whom even brought family back for another weekend break. It was such a fantastic day another family member has just booked their... more

my room was above reception and I could hear voices up into the room from every corner of reception. the front door slammed 3 times each time someone walked in or out of the hotel. rooms were quite bleak. food was average. bar was supposedly open to hotel guests but was full of a special group and I was refused... more

We stayed at the hotel after a friends wedding and I must say it was probably one of the most romantic nights of my life! Seeing the moonlight reflect off of the river, it was just wonderful!! The bar staff were really friendly in the residents bar after hours, if a little forgetful (but in a good way 10 drinks... more
