I contacted the columba hotel, and stayed for one night, the service was 100% satisfactory, would recommend it to anybody, I have read all the reviews on here, and they are basically all talking nonsense, you should check it out for yourself before, taking other peoples word for it. more

Arrived at the Columba for a 2 night stay on Good Friday. Looks decrepid from outside, but they have started renovating the rooms, and ours (102) had been refurbished with modern bedding and HD TV on the wall. Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of August. The hotel is made up of two different buildings, neither of which are attractive from the outside. Staff on duty at reception seemed to be overwhelmed by more the one person needing attention. Staff in the dining rooms, much more friendly and efficient, were a better advert for the hotel.... more
