My wife and I stayed at the Jury's Inn Edinburgh 13 Jun 08. It is comparable to a three star hotel that you would find in the states. The Jury's Inn is literally a block up the street from the Waverly Train Station and down a close (alley way) from the Royal Mile. We were able to make the transition... more

I was not originally looking for a hotel in Edinburgh, but all the B&B's (referenced in Rick Steves' book) were already booked up due to the Royal HIghland Festival that weekend. Edinburgh is an expensive city, and this Jurys Inn is in a really good location, one block off of the middle of the Royal Mile. We made our reservation... more

Dear Trip Advisor, Thank you for your review. I am happy to hear that you found our hotel to be clean and modern. I do apologise regarding the noise, we do recycle most of our waste however it should not be done first thing in the morning. I am a bit confused regarding the VAT as we quote all our...

Booked on-line with jurys, £65 for double room, arrived at Waverley station, hotel 2 minute walk from there. Check in was quick and efficient, room was warm but with windows opened road noise from traffic below in cobbled Market Street. Room overlooked rear of station, bridge, Balmoral hotel, Calton Hill etc. Room OK for size, double with pull out 2... more

This appeared to be a newer hotel, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was very helpful at all times. The access through the close was great to get to the Royal Mile. I would definitely stay here on my next Edinburgh visit. more

Finding a hotel in Edinburgh at a reasonable price, close to the Castle and city centre was made all the easier using Trip Advisor. Many of the hotels which were in our budget did not rate very well for either location/noise/room size. Jury's Inn was a great hotel in a fabulous location, food was good, service was excellent and the... more

I booked Jury's fairly last minute, and foudn the best price directly at the hotel website. The hotel itself is a great location for central Edinburgh (2 min walk to Waverley train station). I was arriving in around 10pm, and had to leave the next morning at 11 am, so wanted something in a good location, which was comfortable and... more

Great location for walking around this city. Just walk out the back door of the lobby and up some stairs (thru a 'close' ) and you are on the main tourist street, the Royal Mile. Maybe 2 city blocks to main train station and bus area to all other points in the country. Our room had 2 double beds, very... more

A rough start with Jurys Inn, but resolved by writing the executives. The hotel has a great train station location, although the number of transients, beggars and stalkers in the area are plentifull. We arrived and were acknowelged by one of the most cold young females I have ever encountered. Evidently we were disturbing her. Any question about the hotel,... more

Stayed here one Saturday night. Paid 149.00 room only and 10.00 each for breakfast! Room a little on the tired side, smelly shower curtain, no frills soap dispenser and thin cheap towels. We often stay up in town in hotels which are similarly priced and include the little things that "make your stay" . There were none of these here... more

Great location, nice and clean. A bit noisy as it is close to the railway station. Will stay here again next time we come over from Norway. more
