I needed a place where I could stay with my parents on a trip up north. Everything was booked up and really expensive in Edinburgh in July but the Edinburgh North was a pretty good deal. I was concerned that it was going to be really far from the centre, but it was only a 5 minute (5 pound) cab... more

We stayed 1 night here and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite, with a bedroom adjoining a sitting room with sofa and 2nd TV On arriving early the receptionist offered to keep our bags even though our room wasnt ready and was very helpful in advising on bus routes into the city centre. Parking was free... more

I stayed here during a business visit. I stayed in a mini-suite which was fairly spacious and had nice big windows. The bedroom area and bathroom was a tight squeeze. The room was decorated to a good standard, with two tv's, and all the normal mod cons. The room included a empty Pepsi branded fridge, which was broken and looked... more

Parking was easy, the hotel was clean in every area apart from the usual grouting problem and cracking tiles that the Holliday Inn regularly experience in their hotels older than 3 years! Breakfast was 10 times better than the holiday inn next to the zoo (They are both 4 star, why should the food be different). On that note, 4... more

Stayed at the Holiday Inn over the Christmas period and was very pleasantly surprised. It was very reasonable and despite there being very guests staying everything was very efficient and friendly. A very typical Holiday Inn as regards rooms (clean and basic). Unfortunately we had a fire alarm in the early hours of Christams morning but this was dealt with... more

The hotel looked nice from outside. Checking in was slow(20 Minutes). The room was quite large and had a good view. The bar prices were very drea. A lager and glass of wine were bought and we got £0.20 change from £10.00. It is too far from the city centre to walk and there are no other pubs or places... more

Despite the Fringe Festival and Military Tattoo crowds and the escalated prices for hotels in August, we found this Holiday Inn (Craigleith - North Edinburgh) with a great AAA rate and enjoyed it immensely. Our room on the 6th floor had a superb view of the castle hill a few miles away. The hotel is on the bus line (#41),... more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights last week. The hotel was extremely expensive but was in line with other Edinburgh hotels (why is Edinburgh so expensive?). My rate was £150 per night including Breakfast. The room was a mini-suite and was very good indeed; 2 rooms and a bathroom with a great view. Food was average for a... more
