The hotel location is near the city centre, but still not too busy. Another good thing was the 4th floor room, which was in excellent condition. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was tasty. We had a great visit in Edinburgh and the Melvin House Hotel contributed to that. more

Mature couple from the Nethelands The hotel is situated in a quiet street, app. 10 minutes from the centre. The staff is helpfull. The rooms are clean and large. There is a great variety in breakfast, fruits, cereals, fully cooked breakfast, etc. We would stay here again the next time we visit Edinburgh. more

We arrived on 26th September for a 3 day stay. The entrance and reception area are very impressive and the staff very pleasant and helpful at all times. Our room was enormous and very well equipped.
