I found this little gem and loved it. The room was gorgeous with a lovely view over cork harbour. Ample car parking. The staff were really very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I will definitely book here again. One minor thing - yes it is about 10 mins walk up a steep hill but its... more

Before you book this hotel find out whether they have any 'functions' booked. My husband and I arrived at 9.30 on Saturday night, we were put in room 101 which was right next to the Alexandra suite where a 40th birthday party was in full swing. We went back to the desk to be told the hotel was full and... more

This is a great hotel - Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very spacious, large comfortable beds and nice decor. Lovely spacious bathroom - clean with lovely very large fluffy towels. Fab toiletries. Breakfast was brilliant - freshly cooked and good variety. Dinner equally good, as is the bar food - top quality in everything. Fab views of city... more

Didn't realise when booking the hotel quite how far away from the centre of Cork it was (10-15 minute walk), nor how steep the hills were. Coupled with one of the wettest June days it wasn't the best of arrivals, but the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the room large and clean and there were decent views over... more

Even though the hotel was a little challenging to find, it is a lovely property. We arrived late into Cork and didn't even have the opportunity to explore the city, but the front desk staff was very nice and assisted us in getting a crib for our room for our son. There was a language barrier between housekeeping and what... more

We stayed in this hotel on a saturday night, it was my hen weekend, and I must say it was a fantastic hotel, the atmosphere was inviting and friendly, a real home from home environment, I shared a twin room with my best friend, it was huge and the views over the city were spectacular. The bathrooms even have a... more

Stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights. On arrival our room was upgraded free of charge, which was great. The hotel staff were polite and friendly. Our room was spacious and very clean, with an ideal bathroom and shower. Myself and my partner Helen used the gym on a number of occasions, which we found adquate for our needs.... more

Every review we read mentioned large rooms at this hotel. Ours was incredibly tiny! It was nicely furnished. The in-room free wi-fi worked beautifully and so did the lift. Sadly, we were awakened by loud crashing glass noises. Then we found out that our room overlooked an alley where the staff tossed garbage and bottles for recycling. We learned to... more
