We only stayed in this hotel for one night but it was very pleasant. It is on the main bus route from the airport to the City Cente, so is easily accessible and that was the main reason we chose this hotel. Also the price was very reasonable too. We had a double room which also had a single bed... more

This is an ok hotel. Lobby area is recently renovated and nice. Bar is ok (didn't eat in hotel). Had a twin room and it was fine, Beds were comfy, room was clean. Old tv with the 4 Irish channels. Bathroom was very small but fine. Overall a decent budget type hotel. Handy for DCU more

I stayed in this hotel along with my boyfriend on saturday 16th Aug as we were in Dublin for a match on the sunday. There was a football match on also on this day so it was busy enough. As far as the location goes it was perfect, 5minute walk from Croke Park and really easy to find if your... more

Was in dublin for business and couldnt find another hotel so stayed here in the Skylon. On check-in, I waited for quite some time, where staff seemed to just not see me standing right in front of them. Finally got up to my room to find a broken television, stains all over the floors and a really hot room and... more

Let's see....peeling wallpaper, tiny twin beds, no telephone in the room for wakeup call, broken remote, broken alarm clock, no handsoap, very loud bathroom fan(which is on whenever the bathroom light is on), ironing board and iron leaning against the outside of the closet(must be part of the room decor).. These rooms should go for less than 50 Euros a... more

I booked this hotel for one night, due to its location midway between the airport and downtown Dublin. At first, it seemed nice although the room was somewhat spartan. As time went on, however, problems cropped up that they were unable/unwilling to fix. The telephone in the "new deluxe" room did not work. I had to go down to the... more

The hotel was booked by a friend for a hen weekend. I felt it was very expensive considering you needed to get a bus to get to the city center. Walking was not an option even for a group of young fit 20 somethings! My room was not ready at check-in and I had to wait for 30 mins while... more

My boyfriend and I had a layover in Dublin so we wanted a hotel convenient to the airport and the Temple Bar area. We didn't need anything fancy, just clean! When we got there, we were less than warmly greeted by the front desk reception (not exactly rude - just completely indifferent). Looking around, we were pretty pleased by the... more

Excellent modern hotel. Very clean with comfortable rooms. Would definately use this hotel again as it is very well situated with shops and pubs just across the road. Highly recommended. Transport links for the city and airport could'nt be easier...catch ANY city bound bus thats passing right outside the hotel for a ten minute trip to the centre. Also recommended... more
