our recent stay in the davenport was excellent. Its in a great location . Its nice and quiet but only a 5 minute walk to st. stephens green and grafton street. our room was excellent, spacious clean and warm. i would defintely come back to this hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I travelled with 7... more

I recently attended a conference in Dublin and the Davenport was included as a 4-star option on the accommodations list provided by the conference housing bureau. I selected the Davenport for its location and the fact that it is a historic building that would supposedly provide the boutique ambiance that I was seeking. Unfortunately it turned out to be one... more

The Davenport is a great hotel to stay for a weekend in Dublin. Although this area of Dublin is quiet at weekends it is ideally located to visit most of the attractions with ease. The bustle of Temple Bar is approx 15 mins walk and the hop on bus stops nearby to tour the city and can be booked at... more

We have recently stayed in the callaghan hotel Davenport. nice rooms, little old but clean. service in the dining room was average, food was not above average! the service in the bar was of high standard but unfortunately the food was not of a great standard. Although service through the hotel was of a high standard we did encounter a... more

We recently spent 6 days at the Davenport. We had booked with a travel agent so the price was set for the room and included breakfast. The hotel had a nice comfortable atmosphere. Elegant but a wee bit worn in spots. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check-in at 8:30 am directly from the airport... more

Hotel is situated around the corner from their sister hotel The Alexander and across from The Montclare. Both good options for a bite/drink. It's a short walk from Dawson Street and all it's fabulous bars and restaurants. Stephen's Green and Trinity College is a few mins away. The hotel itself is everything you want from a hotel stay where you... more

Decent-sized clean room, and good sized bathroom. Very quiet, even though it was a weekend. Good breakfast. Internet in room very slow and fiddly to use. Annoying bedding - the bed was two single beds together made up as one large bed with blankets. Once the blanket was untucked the undersheet was really too small to stay tucked in. VERY... more

The Davenport is a solid choice of hotel in Dublin. Like all hotels in the city, it is costly but on the more moderate end. For your money you get a clean room - large for European hotels. The bathroom was spotless and roomy as well. The location can't be beat - a short walk to Grafton Street and Trinity... more

We stayed at the Davenport for two nights and really enjoyed it. It is walking distance from Temple Bar and Grafton Street, yet far enough to be in a quiet neighborhood near Trinity College. There is a great pub across the street called The Gingerman. Stop in for a pint. Our room was large and well appointed and the bathroom... more

The Davenport is well located for anyone visiting Dublin but that aside, it is not as good as it thinks it is. The first impression of the hotel and indeed the friendly staff is all well and good. However, there are too many of the rooms that while well finished are dark and dreary because they have little or no... more
