We spent a monday night booking on the hotel website for $146/night (the weekends were higher). This is one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed on our trip. The room is totally modern with lights in headboard of bed and plasma built in on dresser. Everything was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was awesome. A young polish man checked... more

Had a great stay at Clontarf as I was there with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the trip overall. Although there are some really good things about the hotel e.g. great 4 poster bed and good breakfast, I would have expected more from a 4 star. It's the small details that make a hotel really excellent, and for example, there... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Clontarf over the St. Patrick's Day weekend (which also happened to be my birthday!). We arrived a bit early in the day, but reception were more than happy to take our bags until the room was ready. We decided to try the Indigo Lounge (which is decorated, surprisingly, in indigo) while we waited. The... more

After touring Dublin it was nice to be staying a bit outside the city (15-min bus ride) in a very safe and quaint residential neighborhood. The hotel maintains some of the old castle charm with modern rooms and amenities. We got a good rate on the website for advance booking. It did not include breakfast which was 20Euro so we... more

This hotel was the last of our tour on CIE- We truly enjoyed our stay. Exceptionally lovely interior to appear medieval. Concierge Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was OK and included dinner from tour co. was good however service was a bit slow. I would have continued my stay here but we had prebooked a hotel in heart of Dublin... more

Overall, I loved the place. The old and new were a harmonious mix, which has been lacking in some other castle hotels. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and more than most could handle. There was everything imaginable and it was high quality. However, unless you have the B&B rate, you would pay 23 euros for it. I enjoyed exploring the... more

Dear Guest, Firstly I would like to thank you for your review on tripadvisor, your review is much appreciated. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit. The castle is a really cool looking hotel. The inside isn't necessarily any different from a normal hotel except for the couple of tin soldiers in the main lobby. The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. There were only a couple of things that I wasn't happy about; one was that the bed didn't have a sheet in between you... more
