I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Dublin's Heuston Station, as I had booked a rail tour. This station is also a stop for the airport shuttle bus and there is a tram service for the short trip to the inner city. Although the hotel was partially demolished and being rebuilt, the only inconvenience was a minor degree... more

Well, what can I say about this hotel...It's fairly close to the Heuston station, about as close as you can get...That's about it. Honestly it was safe and clean, I suppose that's all you can ask for. But in the capital of a first world nation I would DEFINITELY expect more! Working in the travel sector I booked specifically for... more

Booked through expedia for a cheaper deal than direct with hotel. Good location - 5 mins on tram to Temple Bar, airlink bus stops at heuston station which is across the road. It's a Best Western so don't expect boutique styling but the room was a good size and clean and staff were pleasant. Food in the hotel is OK... more

Stayed here for 3 nights at start of Dublin-London-Belfast-Dublin vacation. Good location - you can take the 748 airport bus that takes you to Heuston Station which is just across the street from the front of the hotel (take note - front of hotel is being demolished so you have to go around the block to get into the entrance.)... more

This hotel is a great location for anyone staying in the Dublin area. It is a five minute walk from the Heuston Station which provides a tram to downtown Dublin, a train station to anywhere in Ireland, and a bus to & from the airport. My husband, daughter & I stayed there for a week & found the staff to... more

Booked this hotel for my partners birthday present. I have been to Dublin four times now but my partner had never been so booked up as a suprise. Friends joined us on the weekend and we all really enjoyed our stay here, fab rooms and thought this hotel was great. I have seen reviews saying this was a noisy hotel... more

Stayed here Nov 29 - Dec 3, staff very friendly, reserved a room for me without deposit as i dont have a credit card. Quick check in and then straight to our room, given 3 key cards, one for each of us (alot of places only give one or two!) 1st morning i was woken at 6.30am by a banging... more

My husband and I stayed here 30th Nov - 3rd Dec 2007. Our room was on the 5th floor and we had a sun terrace. Not much good in December but nice all the same we had great views over the museum and in the other direction the Liffey and Heuston Station. The hotel is a bit tired but everything... more

It is a very comfortable hotel just in front of Heuton Train Station and at 10 minutes by Luas to the city center. The rooms a re comfortable but they start to be a little bit old. The restaurant serves a good food and the breakfast buffet has a lots of options to choose. Nice place to stay in Dublin more

We stayed at the Ashling for two nights--12-13 Nov 2007. We arrived early in the morning from an overnight flight from Boston. We stayed on the second floor and had to lug our suitcases down a few steps after exiting the lift. The room we had overlooked what looked like a loading dock area. Monday night there must have been... more
