My dad and I were moved to this hotel from its sister hotel north of the river. We booked two single rooms which were quite small and cosy but did the job. The service was great and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was central and offered a good breakfast to set us up for a day of sightseeing.... more

On previous visits to Dublin I had been struck by the perfect location of Staunton's on the Green and was keen to try it out: it's next to Newman's Church; it faces the most lovely Green; it appears to be out of the busy/noisy throng. Lovely location but that is the end of the recommendation. Room adequate as was breakfast and that's as positive as I can be. My stay fell foul of Dublin's party going culture. This hotel sells itself as a luxury boutique hotel, ha ! The prices may reflect that but the reality is a 2-3 star guesthouse. The reception is tiny and cramped, with a crowd of guests several people deep waiting patiently to be dealt with by the one receptionist.
