Where do I start? The room was shabby and run-down; light bulbs missing, all the wood furniture worn, carpet had seen better days and the bathroom has wood panelling that was warped and although I'm sure it was clean, the wood looked gross. I was offered another room which was better but I booked a "Girls Weekend" package which was... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in february 2008 for the Italy six nations match. The hotel has a lovely comforatable feeling with real character. The location is excellent, only a 10 minute walk from grafton street. The breakfast was so good and in such a nice setting that we returned for dinner on the second evening and were not... more

Spent four nights at this hotel late November 2007. The airport bus stopped right outside the door which was very convenient as it was 7.30pm and raining when we arrived. The small lobby was warm and check in quick. We had already been travelling for a few weeks staying in reasonably cheap accommodation, and had booked the Schoolhouse as a... more

We stayed here for New Years Eve (December 31 to January 3). We caught a airport bus from Stance Number 5 which took us straight to the hotel. Very handy!! 12 Euros for the return journey. Check-in was easy and quick. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We were in Room 220 which over-looked the side of the hotel.... more

We went to Dublin between Christmas and New Years. The hotel is unique and the staff friendly. The location is a bit further out from the main tourist attractions, but is still walkable. Breakfast was very nice. It was a decent value, but again you are somewhat away from the major attractions, especially the ones on the west side of... more

We stayed at the Schoolhouse Hotel last week for 2 nights. Our room (331) was upstairs and faced the small yard and a beautiful tree. The furnishings and linens were of high quality and the bed was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and served in an old meeting/class room with beautiful details - but all quite simple in... more

Stayed in this hotel in order to run the Dublin marathon and the location for the start and finish of the run was great. The hotel is about a half hour easy stroll to the main centre of Dublin. The room was good, the bathroom was nicely decorated in an old fashioned style with a high powered flood shower, which... more

We stayed at the Schoolhouse Hotel for three days. When we unlocked the door to what we thought was our room, we discoverd someone else was already in the room. They quickly rectified the situation and gave us another room. The breakfast was excellent as well as the dinner we ate on the first night .The front desk people were... more

Not quite sure what everyone else seems to be going on about! It is a very average hotel, and certainly not a decent 4* standard. My room was very dusty, and the air-conditioning unit did not work. The food was average, although I only had one evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. What was most unsatisfactory about my stay... more
