I have to say I was very disappointed with this hotel. It looks so much more on it's website. The room we stayed in was nice as were the staff however this is not a hotel this is just a B&B which charges hotel prices. There are no facillities. There was no tea/coffee provided in the room. We enquired about lunch... more

We stayed here for six nights while we attended a trade show at the RDS. The location was ideal, as it was one block away from the RDS and the bus stop for buses downtown. When we checked in, we were served tea. The attendant showed us to our room. Although we had requested two beds, the room had one... more

We were recently in Dublin at the Horse Show in the RDS and stayed at the Merrion Hall Hotel which was located across the road from the RDS venue, which was great as we were able to pop back to the hotel when we wanted. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they even gave us complimentary tea with home... more

We stayed for one night in this hotel for a concert at the RDS which was so convenient as it is straight across the street. The room was lovely with a four poster bed and was very clean. The bathroom was excellent and had a jacuzzi bath which was lovely. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with everything you... more

My husband and I plus a friend booked rooms at this hotel on the recommendation of other friends, who live in Ireland, for our four-day visit to the RDS. On the night before travelling I found this website and saw previous "not so good" reviews on the hotel. Hence, we arrived with some trepidation. We need not have worried at... more

All the web site pictures of the hotel looked really lovely and we were looking forward to our one night stay. We were going to a concert in the RDS, and this was directly across the (busy) road! It was quite expensive at £147.00......Unfortunately the concert was cancelled at the last moment, we knew it would be rescheduled, so I... more

This hotel was advertised as a 4 star hotel.. Unfortunately it should be rated as a glorified b and b which charges 4 star prices. It is an outdated hotel when it comes to furnishings, decor, etc. It is situated on a busy road where you can hear the traffic outside..The staff were very friendly but i would never stay... more

Overall not an offensive stay, but the place looked tired (carpets, sofas etc) Worst things; the television didn't work, the toilet had the noisiest flush on the planet, the cooked breakfast wasn't that inspiring. Scrambled eggs were cone shaped. I'm not a meat eater so a prolonged stay would be pretty repetitive on the breakfast front. The place is quite... more

Merrion Hall may be the worst experience I've had in a hotel. Online the hotel looks charming and elegant. In person it's one of the worst hotels I've ever seen. It looks like a hostel. I checked in, was appalled at how shoddy everything was, and immediately checked out. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to the... more

I have just returned from a week end at the Merrion Hall, and I have to say I was very disappointed in the Hotel. After viewing the Hotel on the Internet, it sounded just what we was looking for, a nice quiet week end together. What did we find......traffic noise 24/7 builders knocking, diggers with their engines loud. Lacking facilites... more
