Staggering into Dun Laoghaire at 7:30 p.m. after the Ireland v. Scotland rugby match. Cold, rainy, and after a VERY long day, we stopped at the first hotel we came across which was the Portview. Never again! Anyone visiting this beautiful location should not put a foot over this threshold.Came over for the rugby with friends, arrived early evening and told rooms not ready til 11.30 that night.Not able to shower or change clothes we proceeded to meet up with our Irish pals as arranged.On return in the early hours,and the hotel obviously overbooked,I found... more
