We have recently returned from a 3 night stay at this delightful accommodation. From the moment I received my first e mail I was sure that this was going to be a great place to stay! We were not disappointed! Friar's Glen is a beautiful house, in a lovely setting and is run by Mary and John. Mary made us... more

We've just had a wonderful stay in Killarney and will be returning to the area & stay at the Friar's Glen. John & Mary Fuller run a beautiful country house with lovely grounds, generously-sized ensuite guestrooms & a delicious breakfast. We travelled with our 5yr old daughter & they were very accommodating, they even allowed us to check-in at 9am... more

Tea on arrival and a long chat about the area with Mary was very nice and very helpful. Dinner at the Lake Hotel is a must - the best view you can imagine (straight out at the lit up ruins of a castle or turret with the lake directly behind it). A hike up Torc Mountain before breakfast, then a... more

My wife and I were planning to spend the second half of our Ireland vacation on the Iveragh peninsula and wanted to stay around Killarney. We found Friar's Glen online in our search for a B&B close to the National Park. I made reservations for our two nights' stay online through the website without a hitch. Accommodations don't get much... more

We spent 4 nights at this Bed and Breakfast and found it to be great. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits by Bridget and some great advice as to what to see. The kindness of Mary and Bridget was second to none and the food was to die for. We cant begin to express how wonderful it was to... more

I traveled with two pre teenagers for the bank holiday weekend. We received a genuinely warm welcome from Brigid while we awaited our hostess Mary Fuller. Mary showed us to the very large en suite family room which was bright and airy and beautifully presented as indeed is the whole house. Mary Fuller was on hand to advise on all... more

I really enjoyed staying at Friar's Glen! Right on the edge of the National Park, you can watch passing deer while tucking into possibly the best pancakes ever!!! Five stars!! more

Mary & Bridget run a great guesthouse in Friar's Glen - it's actually more like a boutique hotel except that it doesn't do evening meals. But when you've worked your way through their unbelievable breakfast, you'll probably feel that you don't need to eat for another 24 hours! (Try the pancakes if you don't normally eat a 3-course meal at... more

If you want to visit Killarney, this is a really great place to stay. It is located in the national park...great views, peaceful. Yet is just a hop from town and more importantly a short walk from the nearest pub. Mary and co were very helpful in recommending things to do...great boat trip and walk for one day and a... more
