We booked in to celebrate our wedding anniversary and what a disappointment. I had been looking forward to our dinner all day long and then along comes a salad, I say a salad but it was actually a large bowl of lettuce with some sort of bland dressing and also a tiny bowl of tomatoes and tiny beetroot cuttings. Bad... more

My husband booked one of the special Dunbrody packages called the Ultimate. Wow! Dom Perignon in the room when we arrived, the gourmet menu and wines, spa treatments...the list seemed endless and eventhough it didn't come cheap I think it was worth every penny. We stayed in suite 231 (can't remember the exact name) and loved the exposed beams, sloped... more

I stayed in the hotel for two nights (Monday and Tuesday) and got a D/B/B deal. I was told that I was being upgraded on arrival and was shown to a very nice room however if it was an upgrade the regular room must have been quite poky as this room was not that big. It overlooked the back garden... more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two days. Our room was comfortable, the food was above average and we found it very relaxing. This sheets were crisp and clean, the country air so fresh and the service was a delight. We would recommend it. more

I went here with my boyfriend for a weekend break and having heard previous reviews, expected the place to be fantstic. however, it didnt really live up to expectations, the food didnt live up to the standard it proclaims and when my partner asked for his food to be heated up (as it was stone cold) the waiter looked at... more

We visited Dunbrody House recently for a week-end to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my pending 50th birthday. It is a typical Irish Country House set in large gardens. We had booked a Deluxe Room and stayed in room 301 on the ground floor. We used the Spa and each had a massage on Saturday. The food was excellent and... more

We have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it but this time the service was not worth the price. There were several small but annoying problems that cast a pall over our stay. We had booked a baby-sitter for both nights of our stay and had confirmed this arrangement the day before we arrived. Even on checking-in, the receptionist... more

We arrived at Dunbrody on a dark and wet evening. I had stayed there before but my husband had not and, having seen some of the reviews on Tripadvisor I was concerned that standards might have slipped since. I need not have worried. We were greeted with the news that we had been upgraded to a suite - my daughter... more

My husband and I stayed in Dunbrody House recently as an anniversary treat and I loved every, blissful, luxurious moment of it! My husband had booked an all in package so we were shown to the beautiful Waterford suite which was absolutely stunning and a bottle of champagne was chilling for us in an ice bucket along with a tray... more

My mother and I stayed at Dunbrody on a recent tour of Ireland. All told, we were very disappointed with our stay. Dunbrody is a SLH hotel (Small Luxury Hotel). We have stayed at SLH's all over the world (including two others in Ireland) and never been disappointed until now. Check in was very cold. The staff seemed uninterested and... more
