Arriving at the hotel it looked average but for £40 what can you expect ? The girl on reception was very nice and smooth check in. I was pleased i was not on my own as two men were stood argueing at reception. The lift had a rancid smell and the corridoors were tatty. he room was a fair size... more

I stayed here last minute after being stranded in Derby late at night thanks to problems on the railway. On entering the lobby at 1.30am, was greeted by a noisy argument between two guests, and a leacherous drunk breathing boozy breath in my face. As a single female I didn't feel comfortable and wanted to get to my room as... more

I have just come back from a visit to Derby and had the misfortune of staying at the Heritage Hotel! Firstly i will say that the hotel has seen some work done to the rooms and that they are now pleasant and clean with modern theme. However that is the only redeeming feature that I can come up with. The... more

This was just a one night stay en-route to attend a funeral I had read the reviews but decided to try it depite them being poor. I must say that the room had been refurbished it had a comfy bed with crisp clean linen, the bathroom was again very clean. On the down side the bath plug would not stay... more

except from the staff that were welcoming and polite, everything else was horrible-the corridors smelled of something dead for a long time, walls not painted for ages, carpets looked so dirty, the room was freezing, i was however given another one by the very nice receptionist, the second one was simply cold.the shower was so tiny that even me, less than... more

The room was quite small, but clean. Suites are available and are basically two rooms knocked through to make the suite (one bedroom made into a living area and its bathroom tranformed into a walk-in wardrobe). The bed was very comfortable and was a good nights sleep. The heating was on full which made it very warm, and we couldn't... more

I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews about this place, just how poor it might be. It was a little bit difficult to find the hotel, so would recommend a taxi from the station if arriving by train. Once you know where the hotel is though, you will like how close it is to the town centre. Upon... more

My partner and I stayed here as we were on a night out with friends. I have never felt the need to write a hotel review but this was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and needs to be shut down, please do not stay here for the following reasons; when we returned to our rooms at one... more

They have a nightclub next door which stayed open until 4 (on a Tueday night!). I was in a room on the top floor and it still felt like I was inside the club itself the noise was so loud. Simply avoid this place if you want to get any sleep. more
