My partner & I always agree, never mix business & pleasure. However, having dined at The Cotswold House last Christmas with work collegues, I suggested we have our monthly decedent away weekend here -- we were not dissapointed!! Our room was in the main house & faultless. Tea on arrival, served in the lounge was glorious -- homemade nibbles a... more

The hotel had a lovely garden and an excellent breakfast. We stayed there for a week in our TINY room. Though the weather was perfectly cool the whole time (highs in the 60s), our room was swealtering. During our last breakfast, we overheard three other couples complaining about the same conditions in their rooms, so that makes at least 4... more

We had an enjoyable weekend away at the Cotswold House Hotel in early June. Room was well furnished in a contemporary style with complementary water and fresh milk - so much better than plastic pots. Bathrooms also nicely decorated in with plenty of hot water and pressure. So, what was wrong? Not much to be honest, but for close to... more

My family and I just stayed for two nights in three rooms over admittedly, a very wet bank holiday weekend. The experience was completely soulless, nice property, rooms were fine, but where was the welcome? the recognition that you're actually staying in the hotel, paying the staffs wages? Breakfast service was very slow, and why do hotels with clearly competent... more

We stayed at the Cotswold House over the May Bank Holiday and whilst they were full, I thought the service was excellent. I found a very cheap rate on a website called activehotels.com and the hotel agreed to match it. We had the deluxe queen room for £150 a night including breakfast. We intended only to stay one night and... more

A group of us stayed for an anniversary dinner and weekend. The village itself is lovely and the hotel is well located on the High Street but parking is a rather strangulated affair. The hotel room/s were excellent with very comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. The service was efficient and friendly. I did not pay for the anniversary dinner so... more

If you are planning a weekend away in the award winning village of Chipping Camden then I would definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms have all the amenities you could ever wish for; a minibar including wine and snacks included in the price of the room and even a list of DVDs and CDs available to be brought to your... more

We liked the decor, and the staff were friendly and helpful. the location is also brilliant. But, for the price I did not expect: our room was so overheated on arrival that despite turning all the radiators off it still took ages to get to a comfortable temperature; housekeeping failed to tidy our room while we had dinner (we had... more

We spent a wonderful weekend at this hotel and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away. The hotel service was excellent - all the staff were polite and happy to help. We enjoyed their pillow menu - it was fun to pick the ones we each wanted. We stayed in a King Deluxe room. The room... more

We stayed in the Hidcote garden room for two nights. This is a lovely room and the hot tub in the garden is really great (apart from my comments below). The room itself was cosy and the gas fire added a nice atmosphere. The bathroom was very modern and luxurious, it even had a TV! We had an evening meal... more
