After reading the previous review I was worried that I had made a mistake booking this hotel. There was no need to worry, the hotel was beautiful, clean and the staff were very helpful. I stayed in room 101 which is a nice size and has a garden view. The linen was good quality and the bed was a queen.... more

I stayed at the Kings Arms on 3 December 2005. I cannot fault the quality of the food or the service in the restaurant but was very disappointed with the accommodation. I booked one the of the expensive "King Rooms" at a cost of £150 for the night. The preparation of the room was shoddy in the extreme. The following... more

We recently spent an wonderful Sunday night at the Kings Arms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was simple and elegant with a gorgeous fluffy duvet and comfy bed. I would also recommend the bar and restaurant - the food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. This was a last minute find and we'll definitely... more

Good food, exceptional staff, reasonable prices. That's the good news. The bad news is that, despite a no-smoking policy in the bedrooms and the restaurant, cigarette smoke is heavy in the large bar/brasserie area and permeates the whole hotel. Moreover, there seems to be a distinct lack of hands-on management. When did the owner last check the rooms, and guest... more

Don't come here if you want a fussy, old-fashioned, uptight break with mediocre food... DO come here for exactly the opposite! We arrived late on a friday to be greeted by a wall of fun, atmosphere, really friendly staff and locals jostling for a place in the restuarant (glad we'd booked Dinner..). Rooms are great... not too smart, not too... more

We visited the Kings Arms for a long-weekend in mid August, while house hunting in the Cotswolds. We stayed for 3 nights at a cost of £360 including breakfast and dinner on the Fri and Sat evenings. The staff were great - very friendly and efficient. The rooms were fine and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, we did... more

What a fantasic place to stay! As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greated by a very freindly member of staff and felt at home straight away. Our room was modern with a traditional twist, it was great to have feather duvet and pillows, the toietries were to die for (so good we bought extra to take... more

We have stayed here several times, it is a great base to explore the Cotswolds and Chipping Campden is a picture postcard village. The Kings Arms is simply furnished and always clean and fresh; it represents great value for money (around £100 a night). They also take one-night bookings on a Saturday, which is hard to find in this area.... more

This is an excellent place; spent 3 days here and will come back for more. Owners who are quite new, seem to pull off the infomal and professional at same time and the food is out of this world without pretensions. Also a great place to explore this beautiful part of the UK. Only downside is parking is always tight... more
