We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Malt House. It is a lovely B&B with gorgoeus gardens and charming rooms. The owner, Judi, is a bit reserved but was very hospitable and made us feel welcome. The location is fabulous--very near Chipping Campden and there are several gastropubs nearby. We can't wait to return! more

The Malt House is a lovely example of the older cotswold buildings but fitted with all the modern conveniences of a luxury hotel. Judy and her staff were very nice and the breakfasts were delicious. There is a lovely garden that adds to the enjoyment of the location. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. If you are a... more

We stayed at The Malt House for one night over the Easter weekend and were very impressed. The house is beautifully decorated and there is great attention to detail. We stayed in Room 4 which was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Great location for exploring the local areas. Only negative was an irritatingly noisy boiler which woke us up... more

We just spent 6 nights at the Malt House, and we had a wonderful stay. Judi was a gracious hostess with beautiful taste , and did everything to make us feel cared for. (even making sure there was soy milk for my breakfast.). We stayed in the garden suite , which was very large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was great,... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Malt House for a day over the weekend. Judi, the owner and host of the Malt House, was very welcoming and it was clear to see that every effort was made to ensure her guests were comfortable. The room was fantastic, we stayed in no.2 ‘The Haythrop Room’ which was furnished with antique... more

Certainly the gardens are beautiful, and the fresh flowers in the room are lovely. However, Judy, the proprietess, was like a disapproving English teacher from high school. It seemed she could barely tolerate her guests, treating us like her poor relatives whom she could hardly wait to get rid of. She never cracks a smile and is a constant shadowy... more

We stayed just one night and wished it could be more. Lovely place, very peaceful, rooms are to a very high standard and all very nicely decorated, could not recommend it enough. Ideal for touring the Cotswolds, but also if you just want a relaxing break. The Malt House also has a stunning garden to make the most of. more

We return to the Malt House year after year, it is our favorite place in the UK, and is quintessentially English - beauful home, lovely interiors, a quiet, peaceful village, and beauty everywhere! It feels like the heart and soul of England, and Judi is the perfect hostess! more

We spent 3 wonderful days at the Malt House in February and loved every minute. The house was warm and cosy, Judy was helpful and welcoming and the early sunshine had brought out hundreds of early daffodils which covered the orchard. We enjoyed the many interesting books, magazines and interesting objects which Judy has gathered on her travels. I can... more

A beautiful and peaceful place to stay just a mile from Chipping Campden. It is definitely an upper crust B and B but markets itself as a Country House accommodation. Our room was delightful with many thoughtful touches but it was not warm enough. The old fashioned heating system needs upgrading as all the public rooms were chilly too particularly... more
