The Lygon Arms is a pub with a number of rooms in the courtyard running back from the pub itself. Although these are relatively modern, they're nicely decorated and perfectly comfortable. The breakfast (served in a dedicated breakfast room) is great, as you can choose from a range of cooked-to-order British classics like smoked haddock or smoked salmon & scrambled... more

Chipping Campden is probably among the best places to stay in the Cotswolds, and the Lygon Arms is the best hotel in town. It is a four star hotel with nice rooms and a pub which serves traditional English cuisine. Location: The hotel is in the middle of the town, close to the church as well as to shops and... more

Having recently parted with £140 a night for their "De Luxe Courtyard Room" I would strongly recommend anyone to look elsewhere. I found the customer service to be appallingly rude and nonchalant, the rooms unbearably hot and the rate overpriced and not value for money at all. Having said this I would say that breakfast was delicious and beautifully served... more

My partner and I stayed here at the weekend and were appalled with the customer service we received. We stayed in one of the new luxury apartments at the rate of £140 per night. When we asked for the use of a mirror in the bedroom, we were fobbed off. It wasn't until we pointed out it was extremely poor... more

Our family of 7 stayed in four rooms at this lovely hotel. Room 6 was very attractive with a beautifully refurbished bathroom. All other members liked their rooms as well. We'd would have liked to have stayed longer. Tim the traveler, Los Angeles, California more

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Lygon Arms. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely soft bed The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere in the pub was warm and welcoming. The evening menu offered a good choice of hearty home cooked meals which were excellent value for money. We've already booked to... more

We just returned from a 2 week trip to England and stayed for 2 days in the Lygon Arms Hotel in Chipping Campden. The Cotswolds were beautiful and we were very happy with our hotel choice. The building is historical with a pleasant pub attached and a garden walk through. Our room had a big bay window that looked out... more

My wife and I have just returned home from a 4night/5 day stay at The Lygon Arms Hotel in Chipping Campden (not to be confused with the Lygon Arms Hotel in Broadway !!). After a slight hiccup with our room on arrival (our fault, not theirs !!), I asked if we could be moved to another room. Nothing was too much... more

I have just spent 4 nights at the Lygon Arms chosen by my company, so that I can attend a course at Campden and Chorelywood Food Reasearch Estab. My room was beautiful and overlooked the courtyard. I arrived quite late, (21.20) and nothing was too much trouble. The choice on the menu's did not do justice to the served dish.... more

I chose the Lygon Arms based on the good reviews here, and was really pleased. All the positive reviews are true. The ladies who run it are friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with. My superior room on the second floor, facing the street, was spacious, stylishly decorated, with a high- beamed ceiling, and large elegant bathroom. The bed was... more
