I spent two nights at the Etap on the way to and coming back from Bergerac by train, so its location minutes from the train station was ideal. Furthermore, there is a special bus service from the station to Merignac airport, so one need not be ripped off by exhorbitant taxi fares between Merignac and the station. The Etap was... more

This is a typical Etap, Rooms are basic, but nice and clean, Very good value for money. This particular one is located next to the gare st Jean (train station) and is ok, however the area around the gare is not great. Not horrendous or dingy but could be improved(felt safe enough). Stayed at the Etap Gare Sain Jean for 2 days in October with two of my mates. The hotel is right on the doorstep of the train station so is well situated for that, if a little walk ( 20 mins) from the Centre. The rooms are small ( double bed with bunk bed over) but I knew that when... more
