Our suite had not been recently renovated (although there were some modern touches such as flat screen TV's) and was just short of gross. I would not recommend this hotel to other visitors to Paris. Although the location of the hotel is faultless the service was horrific -the restaurant staff appeared to have an attitude problem and we were left waiting for long periods to be served. Hotel Vernet is a real find if you want to avoid a large and imposing grand hotel and hide away from it all, whilst still being within a two minute walk of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysee. Largely refurbished, the Vernet is extraordinarily attractive in itself, and in its situation. Meals are expensive, but truly memorable.
