I recommend that you go to Versailles by train. Arriving by car presented immediate problems - there is never anywhere to stop in Versailles, ( French motorists will use two cars to fill three places), so even unloading the bags was difficult. Nice hotel, good location. Only a few minutes walk to the palace and old section of the city. Staff was courteous and the breakfast buffet a nice mix of cereals, dried fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee etc. Room was a bit small, but then, it was fine by European standards and comfortable enough. more
