We stayed in the gite adjoining the manor house, a family of 4 with children 10 and 12. In 9 weeks in France and Italy, our time at Albas (2 weeks) staying with Justin, Robyn, Toni, Georgia and Cloe (the dog) was voted number 1 by the kids. I stayed at La Carriere after repeated recommendations from family and friends that regularly enjoy weekend breaks and longer stays in this most charming of French retreats on the river Lot. My husband, 15 month old girl and I stayed here for one night in August, 2004. We quickly wished we had made the stay longer.
