This is a very nice hotel in the best location... It is a small town but it's also great to be in the centre of everything!! The rooms were very comfortable and clean... Not too small. Staff were friendly and helpful and I would return to this hotel without doubt. more
Best location for short city trips. Close to everything but located in a quiet, narrow street. Rouen is a beautiful city but unfortunately offers no 4* or boutique hotels so considering this, Mercure is probably the wisest and safest option in town. Superior rooms on upper floors come with balconies with nice views on the cathedral and the city. Rooms... more
We had never heard of this chain of hotels till TA. Decided to stay one night here as part of varying the types of hotels we stayed in our our two-week trip thorugh Normandy. We were very pleased with this hotel! Great location! The garage was a challenge to get into with our mid-size rental car, but we managed. After... more
Location, location, location... We could almost touch the cathedral from our balcony. Everything is close by; it's an easy walk from the railway station, it's right in the picturesque centre of Rouen, close to Notre-Dame cathedral and all the other churches, old streets, markets, that Rouen has to offer. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are dozens within just... more
Beautifully designed, charming small hotel which mixes modern with historic, but the best bit about this hotel has to be its location. In the centre of Rouen, with shops either side and the Cathedral almost next door. Feels perfectly safe at night. Many late night (well, small town late) eateries in the area. I had a lovely room facing the... more
Booked by phone - and obtained a better rate than anything online! Double room for 69 euros. Reception staff very helpful both on phone and online later when asking about garage. Garage parking available for "low" cars up to 1.80 metres - mine is a Kangoo which is technically too high, but the receptionist assured me that it would fit... more
We stayed here on weekend of the 21st July on route to our destination in Poitou-Charentes. I must give a word of advice, the one-way system into the centre of Rouen is a nightmare and if you don't study the hotel directions or have a satellite navigation system, you will be extremely lucky to find the hotel!! Even with our... more
Stayed at the Muecure Royen for one night on our way to a wedding in Normandy. Hotel is in a very good location and if you follow the map on the hotel website, you should be able to find your way to it in a car, though the Rouen one way system is a bit of a nightmare! The garage... more
Located about 10/15 minutes walk from the town center the hotel makes a good overnight stop. The room was clean but basic the furniture and decoration could do with a revamp. Parking was on site, hotel is easy to find and there is a restaurant and bar. This is an attractive town with an interesting cathedral. Lots of restaurants we... more
