First of all, this place is beautiful. It is the quintesential Provencal country home. The grounds are immaculate, the new pool is phenomenal, and house is just amazing. The Le Comte family was incredibly hospitable. Upon arriving back from our dinners out they seemed to always have an assortment of snacks and chilled wine set up on the patio. I... more

Our stay at the Clos des Freres Gris was the conclusion of my four week visit to France. After three delightful weeks in Paris we were ready for the Provencial countryside. The warm welcome we received from Caroline LeComte was representative of our entire stay. We were given beautiful rooms and delicious breakfasts. Attention when we needed it and space... more

I learned about Le Clos des Freres Gris through Trip Advisor and my husband and I decided to book a stay there for a three-night trip to Provence. It was a lovely place to stay - the gardens are gorgeous, the building is lovingly restored, the rooms are charming and the decor in all parts of the inn is beautifully... more

Our experience at Les Clos was absolutely wonderful-a true experince en provence as well as a textile lover 's treasure trove. What has been written before is accurate and reflective of our five days, but for me it was enhanced further by a visit to the Chapel within Les Clos. Caroline's collection of quilts, fabrics, samplers, linens and all the... more

Based on the fantastic reviews here on Trip Advisor, I booked our 3 night stay at Le Clos des Freres. It was the best decision ever! I can't say enough good things about the stay...everything was great, from the beautiful rooms and circa 1789 building (lovingly restored) to the warm and gracious hosts and her incredible breakfasts! Fresh breads and... more

There is probably not enough room on this site to adequately describe how superb our stay Le Clos des Freres Gris was the first week of May. We were visiting France from the United States for the first time, so we were not too sure what to expect. From the day we arrived, Caroline and her family made us feel... more

We had a wonderful time at this B&B. I echo the comments of many of the previous reviewers. Caroline, Hubert and their daughter, Charlotte, were wonderful hosts. Caroline was very responsive to all of our questions and ensured that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She had great tips on places to eat and visit in and... more

The reason we chose to stay in Le Clos is because the reviews were so unanimously excellent that we had no doubt that it would be the right place for us. We stayed 5 nights over the Easter holidays at this lovely property, with beautiful grounds where we loved to stroll around everyday. The bedrooms are spacious and all have... more

this really is a wonderful place. Caroline, Hubert and daughter are great hosts. I liked the location. Close enough to Aix, yet out in the country. (5 minutes by car.) We loved the sunny swimming pool and exploring their gardens. It's all been said by other so I'm going to keep this short. Would go back in a minute. more
