A very pleasant hotel with interesting decor and furnishings, very close to the old port and "Miramar" - one of my favourite restaurants - and a short walk from the Panier and another of my favourite restaurants "Chez Etienne" - highly recommended. I will return here. more

We stayed here in May for only two nights, but had no problems at all. The staff at the front desk was as friendly as I have ever encountered. The rooms, although a bit small, were clean and comfortable. Each room apparently has it's own theme. We had the oriental one. The location of the hotel is perfect and close... more

I stayed at this hotel in April of 2006 for a business trip. It's in a great location right in the port of Marseille, with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. You can't beat the view. The hotel staff was generally nice and once even went above and beyond. I was going to leave the hotel and the... more

The hotel was very comfortable, the furniture though not modern, the facilities were very up to dat, new bathroom, excellent service. Hotel receptionist very helpfull and upbeat, was even able to speak to me in english and point me to the right restaurant when asked. Breakfast though a bit expensive, was very nice, and brought to room if asked. more

This hotel is in an excellent location and, from my experience, is great value for money, too. I paid £85 for one night, although I did grudge having to pay an extra €13 for breakfast at that rate. The room was very spacious - had an entrance hallway with large wardrobe, safe, extra pillows etc, leading into a big bedroom... more

The location of the New Hotel Vieux Port is excellent. My 4th floor room was clean with a nice view; however, the bed could not have been any harder. The bathroom was very large with a huge tub & shower combo and looked as if it had been renovated quite recently. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend... more

We stayed for 2 nights in Dec. 2007 in room 401 (Double-Superior room). We had a lot of space and a nice view of the port (particularly when looking to the right from the window / balcony). In addition to the bed (which was very firm), the furniture in the room included 3 lounge chairs, a coffee table, a desk... more

Hotel Vieux Port was an excellent place to stay in regards to location. It is close to many restaurants, bakeries, and bus stops. The tourist center was also in walking distance, which was very helpful since they provided us with maps, bus routes and times, and places that we would be interested in seeing. Great balcony with a view of... more

This hotel is easy to find, and there is some local secure parking. The hotel itself has been renovated and is clean and tidy. Certainly above average for an in-town hostelry in France. It's no Relaix-Chateau but does the job. Shame about the rest of Marseille.... more
