The hotel was very comfortable, the furniture though not modern, the facilities were very up to dat, new bathroom, excellent service. Hotel receptionist very helpfull and upbeat, was even able to speak to me in english and point me to the right restaurant when asked. Breakfast though a bit expensive, was very nice, and brought to room if asked. more

The location of the New Hotel Vieux Port is excellent. My 4th floor room was clean with a nice view; however, the bed could not have been any harder. Hotel Vieux Port was an excellent place to stay in regards to location. It is close to many restaurants, bakeries, and bus stops. This hotel is easy to find, and there is some local secure parking. The hotel itself has been renovated and is clean and tidy. Certainly above average for an in-town hostelry in France. It's no Relaix-Chateau but does the job. Shame about the rest of Marseille.... more
