I stayed here for three nights. I stayed in a single room with a double bed. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the Perrache station. There is a laundry place nearby and several good restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. more

Room was very cheap and conveniently located near the train station but still close to the centre of Lyon. Requested a quiet room and got it. The room was quite large with a bath tube. Comfortable bed, so it was good value for money. Staff was very helpful and recommended great non-touristy places. more

the Simplon is clean and bacsic and reasonably located in Lyon, and the area around gets noisy early so don't plan a sleep in. the rooms are clean and fairly appointed for for a two star hotel. the staff were friendly and willing to assist where possible. we only stayed the one night and it was ideal overnight quick stop... more

The hotel has the basic necessities, there's nothing spectacular about it. One plus point is that it is very close to the Lyon Perrache metro station. We had some difficulty locating it the first time, but it was pretty simple from then on. more
