Very nice hotel within a 10 minute walk from all the museums and attractions that Dresden has to offer. Beautiful room with arty flair and very helpful and friendly staff! We didn't eat in the restaurant but had drinks in the bar and had great service. more

I attended a business meeting, which was also held at the hotel druing two days. I booked a room on their website for a superior room, which cost €85 per night. In summary, the hotel room was large, clean and quite functional. The interesting "artsy" designs were attractive and made the stay more fun. Did not eat breakfast, which would... more

Hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Mitte station – if coming from the airport sit on the left as the view across the river of the city skyline is astounding. Then its only a 10 minute walk to the Zwinger and the baroque heart of the city. The hotel’s modern but other than a strange statue on... more

We stayed at the Art'Otel Dresden for one night, and enjoyed it. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a giant wall to wall window on one side of our room. There was also a table with a couple of chairs, a large bed, a wardrobe, and a smallish TV near the window. We thought the decoration was interesting... more

Great rooms- terrible breakfastroom: Book your room WITHOUT breakfast. In a small breakfast-room you "enjoy" your meal - there are tiny tables and chairs, the coffee is awful: Forget this breakfast! more

Large, comfortable room at a very reasonable price, a short walk from the sights. Definitely not a boutique hotel -- too many tour groups for that. More like a big business hotel with an updated esthetic. And as for the art -- well, it's just as mass-produced (perhaps appropriate for a hotel in the former East Germany). In any event,... more

We spent three nights at Art Hotel Dresden in March 2006. We got a great rate on Travelocity. The rate did not include breakfast and we did not go for the hotel's breakfast offer, which was way overpriced. The room was very clean and comfortable. It has a very strange peek-a-boo window into the bathroom - the opacity of the... more

Just returned from a week in Dresden on business and had an excellent stay at the Art'otel. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel and Dresden overall as a must-see city in Europe. It's a perfect stop for any traveller or study-abroad student passing from Prague (2 hrs south) to Berlin. I stayed in an art suite, slightly more expensive than the... more

Fairly quiet hotel. Not near too much. 10 minute walk to Zwinger and Old Town area. No corner markets or inexpensive shops nearby. Hotel restaurant is very high priced. I'd skip the breakfast buffet (15 Euro) and head one block south to Karin's Bistro, open 7-3 Mon-Sat. Eat with the locals and 4 of us ate for around 20 Euros.... more
