An amazing honeymoonThis is a 3 star hotel rather than the 5 star it claims. But the room rate reflects this. The staff are friendly which makes up for the many inconveniences. No iron or tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. They charge rental for the iron and ironing board after the first 2 hours. They say on the website that internet... more
I have been at the Melia Castilla for the second time. The first time it was chosen by a meeting organizer. I had to come to Madrid for a meeting with local colleagues and decided to return to the hotel. At both stays I enjoyed very much the spacious and comfortable rooms, where you can easily feel at home for... more
Best hotel regarding quality, price and experience. Best breakfast salad and sweet. Smiles all over and very clean more
It is a very nice hotel. Excelent quality of service, friendly staff. A great experience overall. I stayed for business during 3 day on a meeting of my company, we used the auditorium and other meeting rooms. "The word is perfect". I stayed over the weekend with my friends and really enjoyed it more. GREAT more
Not good. Soul-less high rise out of the city centre. Poorly laid out, poor fixtures and fittings and terrible to average food. I breathed a... more
I was in a Congress on 1st December and I stayed in this hotel. Obviously, everything is nice and smart as it's supossed from a 5 stars hotel, but the staff is not at the... more
Stay in Madrid often and usually book at the last minute I have maybe stayed in 8 different hotels in Madrid in the last 2 years and only ever found one that was good (It was not this one!) but the Hotel AC Santa Maura Lets make sure everyone is aware that this hotel is not centrally located - its... more
Considering the five star ratings and the aura created around this hotel, we were mighty surprised that this one sure does not live up to its image. The reasons being: - Despite a global image, few of the basic staff cannot converse in anything but Spanish. - No bell boys to help you drag those luggage onto your room even... more
Went for my Honey moon to Spain and my first destination was Melia Castilla , Nice and decent hotel to stay at. What I liked most about that it is close to the santiago bernabeau "Real Madrid Stadium" 10 mins waliking !! You can not miss dinning at Al Bufeara (The most famous resturant for Payeya) in Madrid. Overall my... more
