I've stayed there twice. The rooms are great with marvelous bathrooms. Free internet access is a plus. The staff is very nice. Breakfast is +++++++ The first time my room did not have a working desk and I asked for a solution that was immediately provided. The second time they assigned me a room with a desk without me having... more

My wife and I stayed 4 days at the Hospes Madrid in May 2008. This newly renovated hotel has a great location at the Plaza de Independencia in front of the Royal Garden, near the shopping area, near the museums, and about 15 minutes walk to the old city. We had reserved the only junior suite that was so baldly... more

This is a beautiful hotel located in a central area of Madrid. Right on the main Plaza de la Independencia, which is Spain's equivalent of the Arc de Triomphe. In saying that, the room we had was extremely quiet and we heard no street noise. The sound proofing in the hotel also appeared to be very good. Retiro metro station... more

Certainly if you are looking for a stylish, boutique hotel in Madrid - you would not go far wrong with the Hospes. It is in a great location, overlooking the city's main park and close to the key art galleries. The intimate environment has also been beautifully designed. Our bedroom was very nicely laid out, with an open plan bathroom... more

Hotel Hopses Madrid is located in Plaza Independenzia, also known as Puerta de Alcalá, Madrids own "Arc du Triomphe". The outside architecture is typically early 20th century Madrid. The hotel is very close to the museum triangle, at the end of fashionable Serrano Street, Madrid's main shopping artery, and right across the entrance to the wonderful Retiro Park. You can... more

As a frequent visitor to Madrid for both business and pleasure, I've had the chance to stay at most of the 5* hotels in the city. The Hospes is for sure the worst that I've experienced. The service is unbelievably bad, leaving me and my colleagues laughing in frustration. I spent my stay in the biggest suite in the hotel.... more

The Hospes hotel was a peaceful oasis in Madrid. The room was extremely comfortable (especially the bed and pillows) and the bathroom was wonderful. Despite the hotel being set on a busy square, our room (at the back of the hotel) was very quiet and restful. Our room did lack a sensible sized draw to put underwear in, a very... more

Most definitely the hippest and hottest place to stay in Madrid. Location, location, location is what it is all about, situated opposite the Alcala gate and the Retiro park around the corner from Serrano for high end shopping, very close to the Prado Museum and the Thyssen Bornemisza collection. The hotel has 41 rooms, an incredible restaurant called Senzone and... more

This is a beatuifully renovated building decorated in modern minimalistic way, centrally located and close to the main shopping area and museum's. The hotel is graded as a five star hotel but as it just opened in Oct'07 it is not fully up and running. So, if you don't mind having the comfort of a 5* hotel but the lack... more

I stayed here as one of the first guests, I stayed in Room 303 which is on the 4th floor (there are a total of five). This hotel is ideally located at the Puerta de Alcalá, although the soundproofing is fantastic and I had a very quiet room. King Bed and sitting area, fabulous bathroom with a walkin Amazon Rainforest... more
