I stayed at the ME Melia for two nights on business last month. The public areas are very spanky. However, beware of "special events" because on one night both the roof terrace and lobby bar were closed for private promotions (some cigar launch I think). I guess my conference rate meant the smallest rooms. Very pleasant and comfortable but no... more

RECOMMENDED. Likely one of the top 10 hotels I've ever stayed in. Check-in flawless, very accomodating. Room was TINY, so if you need space (e.g. business trip work from hotel), this likely won't work for you. Ultra chic though furnishings. Room lighting to die for, including SEXY mood (gotta see that). Bedding extremely comfortable. In room stereo. Bathrooms large, well... more

Let's start with the beginning... A great location! in the middle of the city but not on a busy street so no traffic noise! As soon I we arrived they upgraded us. The room was amazing, bright, the decor is as seen on the website... very modern and chic. The bathroom was also very nice and modern. This hotel was... more

After reading some 'mixed' reviews, I was slightly cautious as to what I might find when we arrived at the hotel.... However, it was fantastic. Tired? Not in the slightest. The hotel is decorated in a very modern and chic fashion. The rooms aren't large - but if you want bigger, upgrade to a bigger room. They are MORE than... more

Four of us stayed here over New Year in two rooms The hotel is in a great location for restaurants, tapas bars and cafes as it is at one end of the very lively Plaza Santa Ana. It is easy to walk to all the main tourist attractions from here as well. We were pleasantly impressed by the friendly and... more

Lovely hotel in a great location, staff friendly and professional. We had a supreme room overlooking Plaza Santa Ana which was great, spacious and really comfortable bed! Standard rooms looked to be very small. Bar and restaurant really good. Modern and trendy if a bit pricey. Would definitely reccommend to couples or a group of friends away for a short... more

The ME is a fabulously stylish hotel for people who love design and style. There's a certain pretentious air to it, but it's firmly tongue-in-cheek. If you get a room overlooking the Plaza Santa Ana the views are truly wonderful. The rooms are great - enormous beds, great TV screen and sound system with huge music menu, world-class showers (but... more

We stayed at the ME during our 4-day visit to Madrid (Jan. 4 - Jan. 8, 2008). The ME was everything we hoped for while visiting Madrid - central location, luxury accommodations for weary international travelers, and excellent staff to help with sightseeing and reservation questions. The rooms were smaller (compared to US standard) but very nice - comfortable bed,... more
