An amazing honeymoonGreat location, good breakfasts, large rooms. Only downside was indifference of staff. Helpfull but not overly friendly. Having said that, we would stay there again. more
We stayed at the Hotel Del Corso for 3 nights in June. The walk from the train station wasn't too far (10 min. or so). The hotel was easy to find on the main street in town. They have a little elevator to get to the lobby. Our service was fine, some of the clerks were friendlier than the others.... more
The positives about the Hotel del Corso is that is in a excellent location and offered a good rate. The room was small but comfortable but the floor, especially in the bathroom, was not very clean. The biggest problem was the staff. I thought they were unfriendly and not very helpful. When we were checking in they gave us information... more
We only had one night here in Sorrento unfortunately. The hotel is in a terrific location right in the middle of town. Our room was a good size with a window overlooking the tiny back alley filled with shops and cafes. Be warned if you have a car as we did you will need to locate a parking garage. There... more
Spent 4 nights in Sorrento so we could cover the Amalfi Coast etc. Hotel is good basic comfortable accomodation. Make sure you ask for a room on the back of the hotel. We had one facing the busy street with activities going till all hours of the night. If stuck on the front run the air conditioning as white noise!... more
We booked a night at this hotel as a stopover between Rome and Positano - but we didn't want to leave! It is about 100 metres from the train station and very easy to locate. The hotel is on the second floor, right above the main shopping strip. There are lovely spacious communal areas and the terrace where a simple... more
Having read various reviews for the Del Corso, we, two Scottish couples, thought we would take our chances and book it for a few days; Sorrento being such a great place we reckoned that we probably wouldn't be spending too much time in the hotel anyway. I have to say, we were all pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for... more
Following Rick Steve's advice, we booked three rooms at the Hotel del Corso for one night, during our May visit to Italy. After 3 great, but hard walking, days in Rome, this was an oasis of relaxation with friends. The hotel wasn't far from the train station, where we walked from. Yes, it is on the main street of town,... more
We stayed here for 3 days in May and found the hotel to be adequate for our purposes. With only a couple of days we wanted to be in central Sorrento and for us the hotel was perfectly located. For a few extra days I would definitely stay outside the centre, perhaps in S. Agnello. Good: The hotel was clean... more
We had a confirmed reservation for 2 rooms for four nights and upon arriving in Sorrento, proceeded to the hotel. When we arrived they said I couldn't possible have a reservation as they were completely booked with a group for the middle two nights of our stay even though I had the emails exchanged between myself and Luca at the... more
