From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a very friendly and attentive staff, who were more than happy to help. We had mentioned prior to our arrival that our stay at the hotel was part of our honeymoon and that we would like a nice room if possible. The room we were given was little bit small, but... more

Six of us stayed at Hotel 47 for 2 nights before our recent cruise. It was a perfect spot for our needs. We easily walked from the hotel to the Coliseum, the Forum, St. Peter in Chains, the Pantheon and Circus Maximus. And the "Mouth of Truth" from Roman Holiday was just down the street. The employees were all very... more

Have been to Rome a number of times and have never settled for a hotel that we really liked until we stayed in Hotel Fortyseven on our last visit. The hotel is centrally located to the historical area and walking distance to most other areas. Taxis are cheap and hotel will arrange within minutes. The reception is friendly and efficient,... more

My friend and I travel for fun, and for a living, and are extremely picky with our hotel choices. We relied solely on TripAdvisor for our Italy trip in November of 2007 and it did not do us wrong for all three hotels. Our first stop was Rome and the Fortyseven Hotel. We stayed for two nights at the beginning... more

We booked this hotel after extensive research online (I'm one of those annoying people who researches everything, twice, before making a decision). We weren't disappointed. The location of the hotel meant it was easy to get to all the major sites. We enjoy walking and had no problem walkng from the hotel to the furthest of the tourist sights. The... more

The Good: The hotel is in a good location, albeit on a very busy road. The hotel is clean with everything you'd need. The rooms were spacious and well equipped! The reception and conceirge were excellent. The Bad: The bar and restaurant staff haven't got a clue. Do not know how to make cocktails that are on their menu. Serve... more

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the FortySeven Hotel for 5 days at the end of March and 1 more day before we left for home April 5. We loved the hotel. If there were FortySeven hotels in other cities that is where I would stay when visiting. It's a wonderful boutique hotel with all the amenities I've experienced... more

Hotel Fortyseven is a great choice for Rome. It's located right near Ancient Rome (about a 10-15 minute walk), and the neighborhoods of Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto. The hotel is modern and comfortable, and the staff is excellent -- they all speak English and are very welcoming and helpful with all requests. When we arrived after a long flight,... more

This is a great little find. From the moment you arrive there is the friendly, English-speaking front desk staff of Aroma, Enrica and Pietro, to name a few, who go out of their way to assist you. The waitstaff is also wonderful. There's a nice fitness room with steam bath and a beautiful rooftop terrace for dinner. And don't forget... more
