My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here...it was such a nice break from the hostels we had been staying in when we were in Rome and Florence. It was easy to find and when we got there we were greeted and given a map and suggestions for dining and going out. Christine (who helps run the place along... more

We loved staying at the Carugiu B&B during our stay in Manarola. Manarola is a great town to stay in, it is big enough to have a selection of restaurants and businesses, but not so packed with tourists (Vernazza, Monterosso) that the experience feels less authentic. We had the room located on the ground floor right next to the entrance,... more

Wasn't sure about staying in Manarola at first because we'd read that other villages were more picturesque or had more going on. Luckily, we still chose Manarola and Carugiu and both were perfect. We stayed in the suite. It was immaculate, modern, basically everything you need. We were in email contact with the owners before arriving. Upon arrival, we received... more

We arrived at the Carugiu B&B on our first day in Europe. Christine gave us absolutely impeccable directions for taking the bus from the Malpensa Airport to the Milano Centrale Train Station, where bought tickets to Manarola. After we arrived, she even helped us with our new cell phone. Even though the rooms do not have a view of the... more

This is a great little b&b (not that we sampled the breakfast) in a great spot. I think Manarola is a good choice for exploring the Cinque Terre, as it's not too busy or touristy, but still has plenty of eating options, and is a short walk to neighbouring town of Riomaggiore. As other reviewers have said, the room was... more

Absolutely perfect getaway for a healthy couple. This place is cute. We had our own little mini-apartment with a small dining room, a super clean bathroom in a separate room, and a small balcony where you can see the locals walk to church and the neighbor’s roosters. We loved this B&B – and it was had for a very reasonable... more

Carugiu is an outstanding place, especially for the price. It was very comfortable and my wife and I loved it during our 3 night stay . It was one of our favorite accomodations during our 23 day holiday in Italy and Greece Pros: Great shower/ bathroom Newly renovated Compact but very efficient layout Friendly personal service Very clean Cons: No... more

Lovely owners and amazingly clean. It's basic here but you have everything you need--clean bed and bathroom, table and chairs and a little fridge. The owners are Italian and their American daughter-in-law greets visitors who speak English. All were very friendly and helpful. We ate at both Aristide and Trattoria da Billy--both were great. I would definitely recommend Carugiu! more

My wife and i stayed at Carugiu B&B for three nights. The accomodation was the best and cleanest of all the places we had stayed in during our travels. The bedroom was large with superior furnishings plus it also had a separate bathroom ,sitting room, fridge and small terrace which was great for drying our clothes. The owners are very friendly... more

Carugiu was the least expensive room we rented during our 2 week stay in Italy and France - about 60 Euros a night. That said, the room was on par with every other accomodation we had. True, our room had no view as it was located on a narrow street with tall buildings on either side; but if you're going... more
