This was our first time travelling to Italy, and we had the good fortune to stay with Phil and Ingrid. There were 7 of us in the party, plus Rachel (Phil's neice) and her friend Jan (great girls). We had a mixed holiday of site seeing, winetasting, and lounging round the pool, which had fantastic views. We also had a... more

This week - our 2nd time in Vecchio Podere Santa Cristiana - was even better than last year's (as the airline didn't mislay our luggage): Wine tastings, day trips to Turin and Genoa, Market in Nizza Monferato, wonderfull local restaurants all organised with expert help from our hosts. On top of that came Moscato and chill out by the pool,... more

I have just returned from a fantastic break in piedmont with Phil and Ingrid Blades and now wish i'd booked longer! The house and surroundings are so fantastic that it was hard to drag ourselves away to see the local sights. The weather was beautiful and has left me with a fantastic sun kissed glow. Relaxing in the superb salt... more

What an amazing stay i had, being welcomed by phil and ingrid, and sampled some lovely wine. I was converted from a non wine drinker to a wine drinker!! It was a lovely relazing holiday near the pool, and a great bunch on guests to share it with too!! thanks for your hospitality and it certainly was a pleasure in... more

We enjoyed a week at Vecchio Podere Santa Cristiana at the end of May. Weather wasn't as it should have been, unprecidented rain but nevertheless it was dry enough to get out and about and experience the beautiful surroundings. Apartment was fine, very clean and the hospitality of the owners was excellent, very friendly but not intrusive, would definately recommend... more

My second review for this establishment, I hope helpful because it was on the back of the proprietors organising a gourmet long weekend which included a trip to the Alba truffle fair, various vineyard visits, a truffle hunt, wine tasting, and interminable eating, both at the house and out at local restaurants. It was a great success, and if you... more

This is a working vineyard/winery/B&B at the top of a hill above the quaintest little village in the Piedmont. If one were so inclined, he or she could wander out among the vines. The completely remodeled 18th century building is secure, the room was private, quiet, the facilities modern and clean, and the linens were top quality, (according to my... more

My Girlfriend and I stayed at Vecchio Podere Santa Cristiana for a week in May 2008. It was our first time in Italy and we had the time of our lives. Our self catering apartment was part of a boutique wine business owned and run by Phil and Ingrid Blades. The apartment was wonderful and their own wine, Piano Piano,... more

We enjoyed staying at Santa Christiana very much - the owner surprised us with a very fine Muscat-drink by the pool, when we arrived. The appartment was newly renovated and very nice and clean and we will absolutely consider staying there again! Notice: The owner had som dogs, which our children didn't like - but it's probably difficult to find... more

After following excellent directions to APSC, We were greeted by our amiable hosts Phil and Ingrid Glades. After being shown our comfortable villa,we recieved much info with respect to the local area. Awine tasting in Nizza Monforato was most enjoyable. Other interesting towns were within easy driving distance. Although Phil and Ingrid were busy working in and around their vineyard... more
