Consumer advocacy is not the first need that comes to mind when spending a weekend in a Venice blessed by perfect spring weather after deciding that once in a while it’s worth splurging on a luxury hotel. However, the Molino Stucky Hilton, a late 1800s industrial flour mill sitting in a quiet location off the beaten track (the Giudecca island,... more

This hotel was wonderful. We had complimentary water taxi to San Marco and Murano which was great. The service at the hotel was less than the other hotels we stayed at in Italy (even though they were not five starts). That may be just because the hotel is so large. The view from the hotel pool area is amazing. more

On the surface, this hotel is very nice. As noted in other reviews, the rooms are large by European standards, and the bathrooms are magnificent. However, the walls are paper-thin -- the thinnest I've ever experienced. You can hear EVERYTHING that your neighbour does and says next door. (In conversation with other guests, they noted it, too -- so we... more

We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary and everything about it was superb! The staff were friendly and professional. No one ever pointed us in the right direction, if we asked a staff member where something was located in the hotel, someone walked us there. We don't usually have the means to stay in such a spectacular hotel, but... more

Fabulous Hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. We loved the location. It was away from the crazy foot traffic in Venice and yet just a 3 minute boat ride to get to the city center. It's location works because Hilton offers it's own shuttle to the city center. Our room was beautiful and quite spacious for Europe. We didn't... more

The staff is very pleasant, always had a smile. I found the executive lounge to be well-stocked when we were there at Christmas Eve through Dec. 27th, 2007. There are sofas and a sitting area to the left of the actual lounge and the lounge had more than ample seating. It was very impressive to us. No complaints with the... more

Just returned from Venice where we stayed at the Hilton Molino Stucky on Guidecca Island. Arrived late and had to pay for an expensive water taxi (60 euro) from San Marco to the hotel If you arrive late you can get the private Hilton Water taxi from San Marco (furthest stop) until 2am which we didn't know. No ticket needed.... more

Just back from a 2 night stay at the end of March with my 14 year old son. We got a good deal from the Hilton website. We had a fabulous time - the hotel was amazing, huge room, great breakfast, amazing location, attentive staff, excellent shuttle service. This is the best Hilton I have stayed in, and one of... more

We booked 3 months in advance so got a fairly good deal. On arrival the staff were very welcoming. We upgraded to the executive suite as we have done this in the past and have always enjoyed having the executive louge to relax in - complimentary food and drink all day! However on this occasion it did not live up... more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights over Easter (March) 2008. The hotel is large, modern, clean and the communal areas immaculate with numerous restarurants, bars and swimming pool, and the original features are an added bonus. The location is in a quiet residential area, but there is no supermarket closeby although there are a few restaurants a short... more
