Al Doge Beato is a marvelous place to stay in Venice. Before we went to Italy, many people had warned me that Venice was too crowded, touristy and unfriendly. I can imagine someone thinking that if they stayed around St. Mark's or the Rialto and never got out of the "tourist core" of the city. For our part, we loved... more

Al Doge Beato is a beautiful little b&b hidden in a quiet but still lively residential area.We had the big room as we were 3 and it was a marvelous room, like taken from a movie. It had lovely view of the cana, the little bridge and the street. I could not dream of a better place to stay in... more

This is a charming B&B midway between the Realto and the train station. It is located in a local neighbourhood and away from the noise and bustle of the favourite tourist attractions but within walking distance of everything. The staff and owners were extremely friendly and helpful. more
