This hotel has first class service and all of the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. We staying in a room with a private balcony overlooking the park. The room was extremely large and comfortable. The breakfast had an excellent selection and eating in the private garden was a great way to start the day. I would highly recommend! more

My husband and I just came back from a fantastic week end in Florence, and if the sites and museums were breathtaking, the hotel was rather good too. It was in a very quiet location, away from the buzz of the centre, but still within10min walk from the Academia, a bit more for the Uffizzi. So just a perfect location.... more

Stayed here for four nights in late September. Our room was quite large with many electrical outlets, and nice sized bathroom. The location was a great compromise--walking distance to just about everything but still in a quiet area. The park across the street had a lovely carousel and attracted locals with children and dogs--a great place to people watch for... more

My husband and I recently stayed at The Regency for three nights and had a very enjoyable stay. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived and our room and its amenities were super (Room #405). The room was comfortable and had three small balconies that overlooked the park. The bathroom was big with nice toiletries (which... more

My wife and I and another couple took advantage of the "stay 7 nights at the Regency and 7 nights at the sister hotel Lord Byron in Rome, and pay for only ten nights". It turns out that both hotels are run remarkably well. The hotel is situated in a residential neighborhood only a short walk to the main sites.... more

I spent three wonderful nights at this hotel. It was not cheap at all, but the treatment received by all its personnel was outstanding. Its buffet breakfast was very good; its restaurant and the service was also excellent. The bill was not low, but with their friendly and helpful attitude their employees fully justified the charges. Wholeheartedly recommended. more

My wife and I stayed at the Regency in July 2006 and enjoyed our short stay. Pros: Good, quiet location (despite what other reviews have said, within reasonable walking distance of most sites in Florence); friendly staff; good restaurant; clean. Cons: Although we had booked a non-smoking room, we were placed in a smoking room. When we contacted the hotel... more

The Regency is nice, but not a 5 star. More like a low 4 star by U.S. standards. Rooms are in the main bldg and a sort of annex bldg to the side. There is considerable road noise in the side bldg so I would check where your room is. We were moved to the main bldg and it was... more

A very quiet hotel a short walk from the major attractions. Good if you enjoy 5 star service without the noise and bustle of center city hotels. Staff were exceptionally helpful. more
