The hotel is in a good location near the train station and within 5-10 minutes walk to the Mercato Centrale and the Duomo. The rooms are small but clean. However, it is noisy. If you are at all sensitive to noise, then it is very important that you get a room in the back of the hotel. We stayed in... more

Had a wonderful 2 nights in Hotel Caravaggio. This has to be one of the best small hotels I have ever encountered in a European city. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Our room was spotless. Location was great - 5 min walk from train station, 10 minutes from shops and sights. What a bargain -... more

Although this hotel can be a bit hard to find.. (we highly recommend taking your GPS).. it is a great little hotel. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable.. it has very good air conditioning. The bathrooms are a good size and very clean. This hotel has a small cafe, with seating outside, really nice for a cup... more

We got a wonderful price for three nights at the Hotel Caravaggio (less than whatwe paid for 1 or 2 nights in other cities). Our room was in the front of the hotel, but the noise at night was minimal. By morning we did hear the traffic, but we wanted to get up anyway--no use sleeping in while in Florence!... more

Booked this hotel through their web site after many recommendations online and it did not disappoint. The street in front is busy and noisy so getting a back room is essential and worth every penny. We had an incredible view from our room of the Duomo and a lovely courtyard. The room was simply appointed, extremely clean, with a good... more

This hotel was just what we were looking for, the staff were very friendly and they all spoke in English. Th breakfast was good, the maids did their job well, and it was very close (10mins walk away) from the train station (SMN) and 5 mins away from the Duomo. I went there with my boyfriend and although the atmosphere... more

If you read JM Scotland's review, I met him while I was there. Leonardo and company do a great job of providing information. The room was fine, and I would agree that a room in the back was probably a better choice regarding noise. Also, we had a great view of the Duomo, as it is lit up at nite.... more

On arrival you get the impression that it is not going to be a particularly good hotel, as the street is very busy, the pavement is narrow and the actual way in to the hotel is not very attractive. On entering the hotel, however, the situation improves and you will find that the rooms themselves are actually in very good... more

This hotel was a great choice. It has very good facilities at a reasonable price; a hearty breakfast; friendly staff and an ideal location - generally quiet. Only a short walk from the railway station (but recommend a short bus ride to the door as the pavements are very narrow and pitted when pulling a case). Ask for a room... more
