We used this hotel for an overnight stay en route from Lake Garda to the Italian Riviera on our honeymoon. A little awkward to get to having lugged suitcases from the carpark outside the town walls only to be told that we could have driven to the hotel to drop our bags off and then parked outside. The entrance hall... more

My husband and I stayed at La Boheme for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the generous hospitality of Sara, the owner. We arrived early and our room wasn't quite ready so she served us a delicious pastry and cappucino while we waited. We immediately felt welcomed and "at home." She was available for questions,... more

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at La Boheme in March. We had a key to the building and a key to the floor. Our room was clean and well kept. The b and b is charming in that the rooms are located around the lobby and down the hall. However, the office was right next to our room... more

When we entered into the 'Red Room" at the La Boheme in Lucca we were taken back by the size and beauty of the room. With a chandelier hanging above us, to a cozy table set in the corner. The room was clean and comforable with a large bathroom. A complimentary breakfast was offered the next morning which included: srambled... more

Stayed in Lucca for one night. This hotel is in a great location inside the city walls. It was clean and the room was large. Breakfast pastries were not fresh but rather individually wrapped, we were offered cooked eggs, which was a nice gesture, but we were in a hurry and did not get a chance to enjoy them. The... more

My husband and I stayed at La Boheme for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon before we flew home and we couldn't have finished our time in Italy any better. La Boheme is so central and so wonderful. We stayed in the red room which had the most wonderful high ceilings and a window which opened out onto the... more

We "found" La Boheme via Trip Advisor, and yet again, what a wonderful find it was. An ancient building in the heart of the medieval walled city of Lucca - the front door is just enormous!!! Ranieri could not have been more helpful. The rooms are very atmospheric - about as far away from a "regulation" hotel room as you... more

La Boeme is a lovely small B & B. The staff is mainly family. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Location within the walled city is not easy to drive to but the walk to the car is worth the stay. The cooked breakfast was a treat. more

La Boheme is why you go to Italy!! Charming B&B inside the old town walls of Lucca with shopping and restaurants at your doorstep. Nice, large well kept rooms and baths. Management and staff very helpful and gracious. Only negative is the difficulty to reach the facility and unload baggage. Its complicated but worth the effort. Highly recommend old Lucca... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in Sep. The room was nicely decorated with character and a huge chandelier. We were in the yellow room. The bathroom was large but with only a curtain for the shower, it did leak a bit. No fridge but a bottle of water in the room. The breakfast was OK, but the pastries were... more
