The hotel is well situated just outside the historic city walls (just cross the road and you reach the walls and in you go!) and is approx. 10 minutes walk from the station. Lucca was recommended by a travel agent friend. The Hotel Celide was a last-minute referral from the Lucca Visitors' Center. I think we paid $120+ Euro. The building was older, but very recently renovated to a very stylish contemporary European standard. Very warm and friendly staff. Easy, safe parking 'round back for the Citroen rental (fun!).
