We stayed here for 2 nights after traveling in Italy. We failed to pack appropriately for the cooler weather in Zermatt and especially appreciated the very comfy and warm beds at the Walliserhof! We stayed in a junior suite that was very large with a loft area containing 2 extra beds. The bathroom was spacious with a wonderful shower. Great... more

This is a small hotel on the Bahnhofstrasse--the main street of Zermatt. The location is excellent. Right in the middle of the village and within walking distance of everything. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are large by European standards, the beds and bedding are comfortable. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They went out of their way... more

We just returned from 3 nights at the Walliserhof. There were 4 of us-my husband and I ,and our two sons in their twenties. We all truly enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were large and the beds and bedding very comfortable. The bathrooms were quite contemporary and large. We had rooms away from the main street and so it was nice... more

We stayed for a week over a magical Xmas.My husband and I had a well appointed large room with large bathroom. This was the best room we have ever had in a European ski hotel. We had a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn and pretty Xmas lights. Our room was on the side and very quiet. Near us... more

We had been to Zermatt before but not to the Walliserhof. We were very pleasantly surprised from day one. The staff tended to our every need. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a back room away from the street and it was delightful-nice and quiet. We had a balcony-which was used mostly to keep our cheese and beer... more

Booked for Christmas through Inghams. Inghams class the hotel as a 4 star. Food was a good standard although you had to choose your evening meal during breakfast which was quite irritating. There was no residents lounge to speak of. There is a bar at the front of the hotel which is also open to non residents and which got... more

Absolutely love the hotel. Wish I had a few more days there.( there in june '07 for 2 days) My kids loved it as well (12 & 16). We had a room with a loft , and though we didn't have a balcony, we could see the matterhorn through our windows. The beds were VERY comfortable, nice down blankets and... more

What can I say...This hotel is 1 of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe ! The room was HUGE ! (with a 2nd level loft) Nice balcony, and the views were awesome. Restaurant served excellent meals. Staff was more than helpful in retrieving the bags from the train station... They went down to the station 3 or 4... more

We stayed here for one night only; but would have happily stayed for longer if we had the time. Our room was warm and cosy, yet for a hotel room - very large. The bed was excellent. The bathroom was huge, and they supplied a really nice bath/shower/shampoo gel. The breakfast was served in a nice bright room, and there... more
