I stayed for business and liked the hotel. The room was nice and overlooking the Amstel river. A bit old fashioned furniture and decoration, but that has its charm. Service is good and friendly. Better value for money for me than their five star-neighboor. more

We stayed at NH Doelen for a long weekend. In general, we enjoyed our stay. It is a pretty hotel. The building is impressive with a nice view to the canal. The location is GREAT. We stayed there with our two kids in June, 2007 last Summer. I really liked the location being near Muntplein. It is a good location from which to walk in different directions and explore. We enjoyed our week's stay at the NH Doelen. It was a great location in the heart of Amsterdam and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was enjoyable and the rooms were small, but clean! I really enjoyed their line of bath products---good smelling body wash! more

Stayed here one night and checked out the very next day. The room was of a descent size but had old cheap furniture, it was not particularly tidy, the television did not work and the bed was saggy.
