Firstly the hotel is not where it is stated on google maps and is a bit further out from the centre than expected. The room was so small that I actually had a real feeling of claustraphobia one of the nights. We stayed here in May for 3 nights, the attraction being that it was an authentic canal house. In that respect, we were not disappointed. Well, while I agree that this place has the charm that one reviewer says, I also agree with another reviewer that it is a hostel and too expensive for what it is. The host was very nice and served us tea/coffee after the designated hours, though. Also, you really can't beat the location. However, there were no screens on windows.... more

Despite the name of this place including "hotel" it is most certainly a hostel. If that's what you want, it may be fine. It was NOT what I wanted. The room was clean (though all rooms are smoking).
